I’m Monty Vaz, a Brooklyn based Illustrator.

I’m inspired by fashion, storybooks & pop culture. NYC lifestyle heavily influences my work as well- Perhaps a particularly fun outfit of a stranger, my current book for commuting on the subway, or the cultural moment everyone seems to be talking about at the bar.

Because I’m interested in a variety of subjects, being versatile allows me to fit my work in many spaces - Whether it’s an editorial piece, a visual toolkit for a brand, a painted mural, or illustrations for a children’s book, I can do it all with a little Monty flair!

You can usually find me watching the latest trashy TV, or drawing someone in a coat I probably can’t afford.
